Short-term Missions Trip to Texas March 2026
Trip Details
Location: Hunt, Texas
Dates: Spring Break 2026 — March 15–20
Activities start Sunday evening and run through Friday NoonTravel together (14+ hour drive one-way)
Likely depart Saturday, March 14 and return Saturday, March 21
Focus
Disaster Relief from Recent Flooding
Hands & Feet of Jesus for Restoration & Construction Projects (Project Link)
Ministry is intentional disciple-making: people and relationships over work/projects.
Physical work at the beginning: tree work, mucking, gutting.
Later work: drywall, painting, flooring.
Other opportunities: prayer walks, administrative help, homeowner visits, cooking for teams.
EFCA provides on-site construction supervisors and care staff.
Volunteer Expectations
Desire to be the hands and feet of God to a hurting community.
Willingness to serve; decent health is helpful.
Opportunities for those unable to do physical labor (prayer, visiting, care).
Volunteers have ranged from youth (14+) to over 90 years old!
Logistics
Lodging: Hunt Baptist Church (breakfast & dinners included; provide own lunches).
Cost: $395 per volunteer + gas, potential travel lodging, lunches, and incidentals.
Capacity: 20 volunteers maximum (ages 14 & older, adults preferred).
Ages 14–17 must have an accompanying parent of same gender.
Preparation & Commitment
Monthly trainings once the team is assembled to review checklists, planning, and orientation.
Team members should commit before December 1st.
